PQ Fibreglassing is one of the leading GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) fibreglass installers in Ireland, offering a comprehensive and competitive range of fibreglassing services nationwide. We travel anywhere in Ireland and endeavour to accommodate all working schedules.

Our main business is 'flat' roofing using the Hambleside Danelaw Dryseal® and CrysticROOF® systems. The list below shows applications in which we are fully experienced:

  • Flat roofs
  • Roof valleys
  • Non-slip balconies
  • Secret gutters
  • Wet / shower rooms

  • Water tanks

  • Dormer windows
  • Pond liners
  • Signage

KEY FEATURES OF FIBREGLASS (GRP)

HISTORICALLY PROVEN WATERPROOFING

Following the lead of the Egyptians who cleverly used glass fibre reinforcement in the fabric of clay jars to stop them breaking during transit, GRP or "Glass Reinforced Polyester" was developed for widespread applications by the British military during WW2. The initial aim was to use GRP for a number of applications such as minesweeping, because of its light weight, strength and lack of magnetic footprint. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s the benefits of GRP were picked up for use outside of the military in the boat building, motor manufacturing and construction industries.

INSURED GUARANTEE & BBA CERTIFIED DEPENDABILITY

Upon satisfactory completion, Hambleside Danelaw provides a 20 year BBA (British Board of Agrément) certified labour and material 'leak free' guarantee which can be extended. Scott Bader´s CrysticROOF qualifies for a 10 year material or 20 year BBA certified material guarantee. GRP is a versatile, flexible system installed without the use of naked flame or hot air guns on projects in 'cold' or 'warm' roof configurations. From a leisure centre through to a domestic extension, it´s proven to deliver BBA certified dependability, with an expected life in excess of 30 years.

FULLY TRAINED OPERATIVES

PQ Fibreglassing employ only manufacturer-trained specialist installers, all of whom are regularly updated with the latest techniques and product developments. The highest standards of workmanship, pride and quality are promoted and engendered into our workforce. Dryseal offer site support, specification advice and projects inspections to ensure that the highest quality is achieved.

LOW RISK & FIREPROOF

Fibreglass is a cold-applied system meaning no naked flames or intensive heat sources are used during installation - a critical consideration on older and listed buildings. Zero hot-works increases safety for the contractor and public, resulting in project cost savings by lowering insurance premiums. Additionally, Dryseal achieves unrestricted use under Fire Regulations, even when installed directly over a combustible substrate.

DEPENDABLE FOR MANY YEARS

In the event of additions to the roof structure like a new pipe penetration or roof light, or if the roof covering needs repair after damage, GRP is easy to prepare for extra work as it does not change its chemical properties over the years, due to the UV protective top coat. You can rely on your high quality GRP roof to serve its purpose for many years with minimal need for maintenance..
